What we offer
We feel that it is important to share with others the knowledge that we have gathered over several years of tending our farm & garden here at Quail Springs. Three times per year we offer a complete tour of our farm where visitors have the opportunity to learn about the work that we are doing and also join us for a farm-to-table lunch. Under the umbrella of “Birds, Bees Bread, and Cheese” we offer a variety of homesteading courses which include Back Yard Poultry, Cheese & Bread Making, Pruning & Plant Propagation, and Preserving & Fermentation.
Farm & Garden Courses
Visit Quail Springs Permaculture Farm, have a delicious farm-to-table lunch prepared in our earthen ovens, learn about growing food in the high desert, tending a variety of wonderful food-giving animals, creating shelter, and stewarding agricultural lands & wilderness. The event will include a tour of our gardens, animal systems, natural buildings, crafts display, alternative technologies, and more. After the tour, participants will enjoy a delicious farm cooked lunch followed by a question & answer session with our farm managers.
Weekend food production intensives focused on growing & processing your own food. From animal husbandry, backyard poultry and butchering, to calling in a wild yeast, baking sourdough bread in earthen ovens, and keeping bees, we’ll honor, celebrate, and participate in the daily miracle of food, and what it takes to bring it to the table.
