Greywater in the Garden

Course Description

We are thrilled to be welcoming Greywater and Ecological Sanitation expert Nik Bertulis down this fall for a weekend workshop. Join as us we install a start to finish greywater system onto our new bathhouse.

This workshop is for contractors, landscape architects and do-it-yourselfers. We will cover the basics of everything you need to know to grow gardens with recycled greywater. Students will spend some of their time learning in the classroom while a large portion of the workshop will take place outside, participating in hands on learning.

Sustainable futurist, infrastructure analyst and amateur naturalist, Nik co-founded the water systems design/build firm Dig Cooperative that facilitated some of the first permitted greywater and rainwater systems in the bay area. He is a co-founder of PLACE for Sustainable Living in North Oakland and currently teaches in the Environmental Management program at Merritt College.
