WILD SERIES INSTRUCTOR
Justin is an initiated traditional healer in the Huichol tradition of the Mexican Sierra Madre, and has been teaching wilderness skills for over 20 years. His teachings include bow making, brain tanning, identification and uses of wild plants for food and medicine, fire-making, blacksmithing and woodcarving, among other ancient skills—all hidden treasures that are being lost from the world.
Justin continually strives to share these traditional skills and ways of relating to nature with others—an exchange that brings him great joy. Living off the land has been a profound teaching for him, which has changed his life, and his awareness of the dynamic sacredness in everything. He has learned that through this way of life, one becomes deeply aware of and connected with our place in the natural world. Looking at our culture from this vantage point, life is experienced with a very different perspective.
